Georgetown, Tx-based Katelyn Simpson brings memories to life through her alternative-contemporary-indie rock sound. Described as a multi instrument aficionado, her passion and emotion flow through her vocals and lyrics making a connection with her audience. Her live performances and originals are influenced by Central Texas’ local musicians and the likes of Adele, Evanescence, Greta Van Fleet, Heart, Paramore, Queen, and Sia.
Katelyn was born January 10, 2004 in Austin, Tx, the LIVE Music Capital of the World. Starting at age 7, she began her journey through music learning to play piano, acoustic/electric guitar and bass guitar to accompany her vocals. Performing as a solo artist, and as the lead singer for the bands American Girl, Zero Gravity, Crashing Cali, and current band 3W2G, she grew as a musician and defined her style and brand of music. Her stage presence and confidence evolved early on with performances in Austin (3Ten ACL, The Belmont, & Wagner’s Backyard), Pflugerville (Hanovers), Round Rock (Hanovers 2.0, High Country Market, Star Coffee, The Tavern), Georgetown (Roots), Hutto (Hall of Fame), and Liberty Hill (Time Out Sports Bar). She performed at the Houston Rodeo, Chalk Walk Round Rock, Red Poppy Festival Georgetown, and Brushy Creek BBQ. These experiences led Katelyn to the highlight of her young career; her first recorded original single release, “TRUST”, debuted November 17, 2018 on 512 Studios LIVE TV show.
In addition to singing and song writing, Katelyn loves to figure skate and dance, with ballet and hip-hop being her personal favorites.
